On November 18, 1978, the world was changed forever...
918 American citizens, 305 children
of which 40 of them were infants,
American Congressman Leo Ryan and a United Press International news and film crew all lost their lives in that Paradise of Pain forever rendered infamous by it's name: "Jonestown".
Please consider lending your support and presence to erect the Cherishing the Children Healing Memorial Wall in memory of those who perished in this incredible act of violence. The survivors and surviving families of Jonestown have resolved, with the public's help, to erect this memorial. The monument will be placed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Oakland, California where 406 bodies lay in a mass grave who are mostly children. The children perished in Jonestown without a fighting chance and we must say:
HONORING 305 INNOCENT CHILDREN
REMEMBER US TODAY,
LOOK AT US TOMORROW
NEW PICTURE BOOK, LETTERS FROM CONGRESS, FINANCIAL DATA, & MORE!
This youtube video is the dying declaration of Mr. John Cortez, Evergreen's exclusive vendor telling the truth about what he was told by owner Buck Kamphausen about building the Cherishing the Children Memorial Wall. See more video of Mr. Cortez.
THIS IS A 911 CALL TO ACTION. THIS IS A TIME SO URGENT that truth must rise up from the grave of those who cannot speak for themselves. Last week followers of Jim Jones unveiled a memorial that desecrates the memory of the more than 900 followers, including 305 children, who were massacred in Guyana in 1978.
To listen to Dick Gregory, Rev. Eugene Lumpkin, Professor Oba T'Shaka, Les Kinsolving, Tom Kinsolving, Kathleen Kinsolving, Officer Yulanda Williams, and many guests speak on what really happened and how Jim Jones lured good, hard working selfless people into a hot jungle and killed them. Other guests will discuss their journey of life not related to People's Temple.
